About Kendal

Kendal King Jacques creates still life paintings that reference memory, personal history and rural culture. Kendal paints entirely from life using traditional techniques, studying objects that she has collected over time. In spending hours quietly observing these items, it is her hope that she captures a quality that photos cannot - honoring the object and the history associated with it.

Kendal is originally from Enigma, Georgia where she grew up on a small family farm. In 2017, she graduated from the University of Georgia with a BFA in Painting. She currently lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and their deaf dog, Willow.
